The Urban parka is actually more efficient, but it's the most fragile item yet, almost twice as bad as the Windbreaker, and offers little water shielding. The Ski jacket has slightly higher weight-efficiency than the others. Below those there isn't a great outer coat, just all-around average coats, and vests. A Mariner's pea coat offers an even higher 4 C wind barrier with 3 C of warmth and excellent water shielding as well as low maintenance needs, but at 2 kg, it's twice again as heavy.

A Light Shell offers the same wind protection and a bit more warmth at the cost of some waterproof-ness, and is twice as durable, but it's also twice as heavy. If it's too fragile for you, you'll have to go with something heavier. If you don't have an Expedition, a Windbreaker is one way to fight the wind with little weight and no mobility penalty, though you'll be repairing it a lot. If you can't find lighter warm gear, or you are playing a long-term game and need to conserve cloth, it's worth crafting. The Wolskin coat is light enough to have a bit more utility. The Bearskin coat is ridiculously heavy, but it's good on Interloper or for doing daily tasks outside to help avoid Cabin Fever if you are holed up at home.
